With a clear focus on sustainability and a global business network, Papoutsanis strives to continue on its strong growth track, building on four distinct strategic units: Own Brands - Hotel Amenities -Third-Party and Private Label Manufacturing - Specialty Soap Bases.

The new Business Development & Exports Executive will be a member of the Branded Products Business Unit with the responsibility to drive our own consumer and hotel brands expansion abroad. The position, which reports directly to the Business Unit Sales Manager, will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with international customers, distributors and business partners and maintain a good level of collaboration, monitoring customer feedback to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research and identify new market opportunities through meetings, references and other channels.
  • Attend events such as exhibitions and conferences in Greece and abroad, to meet existing and potential clients and build positive relationships.
  • Significantly contribute in the development of all relevant sales material and presentations, benchmark versus best practices, share insights and learnings and propose different channels and course of action to develop our international business and serve their markets and needs.
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business. Assess market potential, prepare business case, including pricing and PnL, in a clear and analytical manner and negotiate contracts with new customers.
  • In Collaboration with the marketing team and the international partner, develop and propose plans for increasing sales via distribution, penetration and brand building activities in new geographies.
  • Prepare monthly forecast, monitor stock levels and the supply chain process from shipment to customer delivery.
  • Prepare financial reports about sales activity, costs, and profit margins for international markets
  • Cooperate with other departments within the company to ensure that all international business operations run smoothly

The right candidate has:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in International Sales-Business Development of FMCG / Personal Care brands, with a proven success record
  • A university degree in Business Administration, Management or other relevant field
  • Fluency in English. Additional foreign language skills are considered a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills, as well as interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
  • Very good use of MS Office and ideally familiarity with SAP
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • Strong analytical, decision making and organization skills
