The Role

The Head of SC will be responsible for leading the warehousing operations across
markets and driving the supply chain strategy that will enhance customer experience through
excellent service level. He/She will ensure efficiency in supply chain operations maintaining high quality and safety standards, increasing the level of digitalization and accelerating our journey to sustainable supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

Strategy

• Support development and implementation of supply chain action plans and warehouse footprint optimization.
• Use Lean methodologies to establish a continuous improvement approach
• Focuses heavily in project work to standardize, centralize and improve processes and introduce new ways of working in Hubs.
• Identifying, analysing, developing, implementing and measuring solutions to scale and improve our warehouse network for forward and reverse logistics
• Collaborate closely with Distribution for resource optimization, end-to-end profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction
• Improve supply chain execution by directing a flow path channel from supplier to store to best fit sales, in-stock, and profit metrics
• Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital
• Supports make-or-buy decisions in all aspects related to warehousing operations
• Sets warehousing CAPEX & OPEX and productivity agendas

Operations

• Optimize operational management of the warehouse network
• Leads the selection of third-party logistics providers to meet standards and SLAs
• Supports strategic business management processes (IBP) by providing functional inputs (cost/capacity/service/lead times)
• Manages warehousing network spend and related activities, including budget development

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience in supply chain function in a management role required (Retail and Commercial Experience desirable)
• Experience in managing transformation in areas of logistics and supply chain operations, system development and technology is a must
• Demonstrated business acumen (i.e., ability to understand key aspects of the company’s business strategy)
• Expertise in WH management procedures and best practices is a must
• Hands-on Experience with SAP WM is an advantage, experience in WMS is a must
• Effective communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation and team-building skills
• Strong project management skills, with proven ability to deliver results on time and within budget
• Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
