The Role:

The Customs Coordinator/ Analyst is responsible for preparing and submitting the withholding, the VAT & stamp duty returns as well as effectively running the new requirement of e-books (myData) of the company & aligning with the Tax Manager on day-to-day important issues of the business. Most importantly though, they are responsible to monitor & prepare the declaration of Excise, monitor the Bonded warehouses & the relations with the Customs Authorities & Customs brokers, and act as a trusted business partner for all  functions, since excise is one of the most crucial parts of the Beer & Spirits business. 

The role reports directly to the Tax Manager.


  • Prepare & submit withholding tax returns (freelancers, contractors, royalties, stamp duty, etc. return submission).
  • Gather & analyze data prepared by the CoE on VAT, Intrastat & listing & submit the respective returns to the local Tax Authorities.
  • Make use of  Taxisnet, ICISnet & Business Registry (GEMH) in an effective & quick way.
  • Communicate effectively with the Tax Authorities, Customs Authorities, Statutory Auditors & internal stakeholders (warehouses, accounting department etc.).
  • Monitor the day -to -day uploading of e-books (myData) reports & raise issues for stakeholders.
  • Have a good knowledge of international trade (imports, exports, incoterms, etc.) is related to Customs & excise and is a skill to have or to be acquired within job training.
  • Customs Regimes (esp. Bonded warehouses) is also an integral part of the Beer business, and thus is necessary or to be acquired within job training.
  • Being able to understand the areas of Income Taxes (Income Tax Return) to assist the Tax Manager on the preparation of the company’s Income Tax Return.
  • Solve problems that arise from the day-to-day business on excise part in cooperation with finance, supply chain, Custom Brokers
  • Assist in data management: master data integrity in key systems, identify areas for data quality improvements and resolve data quality issues, define and implement data controls to ensure that data are accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.



  • Bachelor’’s degree in accounting, business administration or economics.
  • 5+ years of previous professional experience in Greek taxes & Customs procedures area.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Having attended the fundamental Tax Seminar is considered a plus.
  • Experience on Customs procedures will be considered a plus.
  • ‘Hands on’ approach and can-do attitude and willing to get involved in all aspects of projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek & English.
  • Good SAP knowledge (FI mostly).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft tools and especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required.
