Investment Operations and Reporting Analyst

We are looking for an Investment Operations and Reporting Analyst. As an Investment Operations and Reporting Analyst, you will be an experienced and results oriented senior analyst with solid experience in trade support, system set up, accounting of investment assets and development of financial reporting related to the portfolios.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Participate in the implementation of the new accounting standard IFRS9 financial instruments, including testing of the IFRS 9 related system, development of new reports and design of processes and controls.
  • Prepare investments related reports and notes to financial statements on a periodic basis for distribution to several stakeholders; such as shareholder, management, portfolio managers, public etc.
  • Manage trade capture processes to ensure all trades are booked accurately.
  • Communicate and ensure the accuracy of settlement of all cash and securities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate booking of all corporate actions as instructed by the portfolio managers to the custodian.
  • Participate in daily saving and validation of market data.
  • Perform the daily valuation process of the internal funds managed by the Company.
  • Review and investigate the reconciliation breaks on a daily basis between custodian and Company’s systems.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Work closely with the front and back office to resolve breaks.
  • Co-operate with the accounting department to design the accounting treatment for investments and ensure GAAP’s are being adhered to appropriately.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and statistical information in the content of the regulatory framework for insurance companies (Solvency II).
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources; assist to set up middle office system including data conversion, verification, UAT and implementation.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects when needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or similar. Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.
  • At least 3 - 4 years of relevant work experience in middle office / trade support functions / investment reporting ideally within the insurance industry, asset management company or audit firm.
  • Experience in Investment Accounting, Operations or Fund Administration recommended.
  • ACCA or CFA certification and previous working experience in the audit sector will be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of Front to Back trade flow.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills both in Greek and English.
  • Results oriented and able to deliver under pressure to short deadlines, while coping with changing priorities.
  • Team Player and ability to work independently.
