We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a Procurement Category & Tendering Manager to join our operations based in Athens and lead company’s strategic and tendering procurement activities.
Role summary:
You will have an opportunity to make immediate impact in company’s product category landscape. You will be asked to develop and implement globally strategies for strategic product categories and to lead all Procurement Tendering activities, while leading a team of talented Procurement Engineers, Technical Experts and Category leads.
What you will need to do:
- Propose a strategic roadmap or Category Management plan on a yearly basis for Corporate Management review
- Perform rigorous analysis based on internal category data available and market research, work with Procurement Category Leads /Technical Experts to develop savings hypotheses and analysis around hypotheses
- Re-assess continuously the procurement strategies defined and ensure to develop the adequate route to market for each service/product
- Propose negotiation strategies and participate in the final negotiation (pricing, contract finalization) with the Category Leads when required, and exploring gain-share mechanism with suppliers
- Manage the Frame Agreement implementation and follow-up including monitoring of performance KPI’s defined with the supplier and regular sponsor meeting
- Develop and maintains detailed cost model for the category Investigate possible post-award value for money and cost reduction initiatives with the category management team
- Ensure all deliverables are priced and delivered as per the Tender Procurement Plan requirements (Tender Timeline, Pricing, Documentation)
- Coordinate with all relevant in-house departments to ensure all requirements are included in the bidding documents issued during the Tender process (ITB, CS, Procurement Summary)
- Ensure we are able in the long term to provide more benchmark and feedback analysis about commodities
What you will need to have:
- BSc in Engineering; MSc in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be highly welcomed
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a procurement management role within international EPC Marine Construction sector or / and Oil & Gas
- A proven track record in managing strategic product categories, frame agreements and contracts
- Prior exposure to Supplier Markets in Middle East or North Africa will be a definite asset
- with focus on strategic procurement; exposure in Energy field will be a definite asset
- Strong familiarity with MS Office
- Very good command (written and oral) of the English language
- High mobility and willingness to travel around to company’s operations (think Middle East and North Africa to start with)
