Our client is a major multinational company, a leader in the sector. We are looking for a junior Payroll Assistant for client’s in-house team. In this role, you’ll be a member of the C&B & Payroll Team and will assist in payroll and benefits administration.

The Role:


The Payroll Assistant requires knowledge of the end-to-end payroll cycle and entry-level benefits expertise. Hands-on experience with the various inputs and outputs such as third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, accounting, benefits, and other key areas that integrate with payroll is essential. 




  • Execute payroll cycles and associated payroll programs timely and accurately
  • Performs all payroll duties including processing, validating payroll data prior to submission, review and audit of output reports, pay slips, final reports etc
  • Utilizes fundamental customer service skills for responding to general inquiries related to company and payroll policies, benefits and procedures.
  • Ensure all payroll systems are configured properly to assure accurate gross to net processing, including all earnings, statutory tax withholdings, and deductions as these change over time.
  • Understands company time policies; ability to track and review absence records such as sickness, holidays; calculate overtime-, sickness-, holidays payments, preparing and reviewing the accruals
  • Upload and audit all earnings, including hours worked, exception time, and bonus payments.
  • Assists in creating and updating procedural payroll changes including implementation and testing of new processes and systems
  • Employ critical thinking skills to identify payroll issues and determine root cause and implement sustainable solutions
  • Increase effectiveness and efficiency through process improvements
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Year-End efforts
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Administer benefits program, including managing enrollments, auditing carrier systems, processing invoices
  • Serve as benefits liaison; conduct benefits enrollment sessions, assist with ongoing enrollment
  • Administer all aspects of leave and workers’ compensation programs.




  • BA/BSc in relevant academic background
  • A 2-4 years and hands-on payroll experience in a high growth, fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience/proven ability to accurately and timely complete all payroll processing responsibilities
  • Up to date knowledge of statutory legislation (payroll, working time, holidays, sickness)
  • Excellent multitasking capabilities while maintaining organization and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
