Life Claims Adjuster

We are looking for a Life Claims Adjuster to handle effectively and timely the full cycle of life and health claims and provide a high standard of customer service to our customers and agent network.

Role Responsibilities

As a Life Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible to:

  • Handle and ensure timely processing of all life insurance claims documents
  • Gather, check and maintain records of all data and documentation so as to ensure the settlement of claims
  • Determine the validity of life insurance claims, carry out the assessment and settlement of life insurance claims arising from policies in force. Identify fraud potential and make appropriate referrals
  • Estimate the final amount of claims and ensure the payment procedure according to life insurance’s contract terms and company policy
  • Consult and liaise with solicitors and other third parties to seek guidance and expert evaluation on issues regarding the investigation, assessment and negotiation of the life insurance claims
  • Answer inquires, deal with complaints and provide customers and external partners with further information / clarifications and/or support relating to claims processing
  • Maintain all records and ensure their updating process
  • Prepare reports including statistics and data about the frequency and severity of claims
  • Suggest process improvements in order to support business in a more customer oriented way

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • High School Graduate, a Bachelor’s degree will be considered as a plus
  • 2-4 years of experience in Life & Health Claims Handling
  • Legal knowledge on life & health claims
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Fluency in English language
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management & organization
  • Fast thinker
