Archirodon is seeking to recruit a

Junior Structural Engineer

(JSE 10/17)


Key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Perform finite element numerical structural analyses and structural designs calculations as required during tender preparation or during a design & build contracts. Prepares structural analysis and design deliverables (reports and CAD drawings).
  • Prepare CAD drawing deliverables efficiently, either on their own or using the department’s CAD operators.
  • Participate in the selection of best or alternative solutions, through analysis of information and evaluation of results.
  • Attend designated meetings both in house and when nominated, with clients or on sites.
  • Consistently keep abreast of new design and construction methods. Also, to keep up to date with applicable Codes, Standards and Legislation (per Project / Location).
  • Collaborate with and review the work of external consultants as required, at tender and project implementation phases.

  • Are effective at solving problems and determining effective courses of action.


Essential prerequisites include:

  • BSc in Civil Engineering. MEng / MSc and/or PhD in Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • Up to 4 years’ experience in infrastructure project structural design works.
  • Experience in Finite Element and structural design software packages, as well as AutoCAD, Mathcad and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and oral). Knowledge of the French language will be considered a plus.
