Archirodon is seeking to recruit an

Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

(ICE 10/17)


Key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Prepare design, drawings, and specifications for instrumentation and control systems (SCADA/ESD/DCS) in accordance with feed documents.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, project definition, conceptual design, specifications and design documentation for EPC Oil & Gas projects and develop with process Engineers the conceptual control philosophy.
  • Participate in Front End and basic engineering services and prepare IO lists, instrumentation lists, ELV block diagrams, tie points for various mechanical equipment, such as loading arms, pumps, storage tanks and piping, desalination plants etc.
  • Prepare Material Requisitions, and material take offs for field instruments, DCS/ESD/HIPPS, F&G, security systems for oil and gas installations, Ports infrastructure, industrial buildings, various power plant systems, such as steam, feed water, water treatment, and fuel.
  • Review tender/contract requirements and prepare conceptual design solutions and proposals and prepare ITP plan for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Perform I&CS calculations for control valves, orifice plates, thermowell calculations, etc.
  • Perform technical bid evaluation for field instruments, instruments valves and control systems, F&G, PA, CCTV and security systems, etc.
  • Prepare the layout of instrument cable trays, field instruments and Junction boxes and issue issued installation drawings (loop, wiring, hook-up, layout). Prepare schedule, and review operational and maintained manuals.

Essential prerequisites include:

  • University degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of solid experience in the conceptual and final design of Control Systems and field Instrumentation for Oil & Gas projects.
  • Excellent command of the English language and familiarity with International design standards (e.g. ISA, IEC, ISO, API, NFPA, etc.).
  • Schengen passport holders only.
