Regional Business Development Manager 
(RBDM-G 03/17)



  • Participates in the formulation of the Company’s business development strategy, by providing input on local market trends and opportunities.
  • Is responsible for the implementation of the Company’s business development strategy, by maintaining key relationships, identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and ensuring that the Company is pre-qualified for such opportunities within the Gulf Region.
  • Works closely with customers to promote company technologies, products and services that meet their needs and determine how we can leverage our offerings to new business opportunities.
  • Identifies prospective projects in the areas of the company’s activities (heavy infrastructure civil, marine, rail, power & water and oil & gas works) and cultivates business contacts with authorities and other prospective clients, consultants, etc.
  • Liaises with the Business Development Director and the Regional Director for better coordination of the business development activities and for guidance or approval as needed.
  • Prepares pre-qualifications submissions as well as classification and registration procedures for the region.
  • Oversees the organization of regional photographic archives and the preparation of specialized project lists for prequalification purposes. Provides input regarding updates for brochures, printed material and internet. Provides recommendations / evaluation reports regarding company participation in Trade Fairs, Exhibitions, conferences and other events.
  • Maintains the Knowledge Centre for the construction methodologies and ensures the creation, acquisition, and sharing of knowledge within the company.



  • M.Sc. in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical). MBA is an asset.
  • 10 years substantial and broad business experience in Business Development in EPC construction with at least 3-5 years demonstrated success in selling and developing new business with revenues ranging from $25 million to over $100 million
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Construction.
  • Knowledge of the GCC market with a demonstrated network of COI’s (Centers of Influence) to include developers, owners, owners representatives, architects, engineers and other professional services relationships that could be leveraged to create business opportunities.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral, is mandatory. Command of Arabic is an asset
  • Experience with multinational construction companies is a must.
